Serenity House will offer to the community a laundry service, baked goods, casseroles, party trays, vegetables – canned and fresh, eggs, fresh flowers, pottery and refinished furniture. There is a Market Day in town where items and food will be sold. There will be a drop off and pick-up place in town for laundry service, food orders, fresh flower orders, and vegetable orders. The Serenity House is designed for each client to work on herself, work on changing her behaviors, learn skills, and learn about Jesus Christ so that she will be able to be self sufficient, working to support herself in society. |

| † Abusive Relationships
† DON’T THINK OF YOURSELF AS A VICTIM: Think of yourself as a person who needs to take action now, as a person of worth who can break this cycle of abuse. † DO CONSIDER YOUR OPTIONS: If you don't think you have any options, you are not thinking very clearly. † DO SEEK HELP: Whether you realize or not, lots of people want to help you; Please Let Them. † DON’T TRY TO “CHANGE” THE OTHER PERSON: Trying to change other people is not a good thing. Other people must work on themselves and hopefully with Jesus Christ, they will do so. But you cannot force them to do so. Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust the LORD for protection than to trust anyone else. † DON’T GIVE UP HOPE: Other people have experienced the same kind of hard times you may be experiencing today. Psalms 146:5 The LORD God of Jacob blesses everyone who trusts him and depends on him. † DO MAKE YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY THE HIGHEST PRIORITY: If you're in an explosive relationship, do the wise thing and think safety first for yourself. Proverbs 3:18 Wisdom is a life-giving tree, the source of happiness for all who hold on to her. A destructive relationship seldom starts out that way. And in the beginning, the relationship may seem ideal, but over time, as the relationship gradually begins to destroy, small problems evolve into big trouble. So, if you find yourself in a relationship that is harmful to your health, safety, and sanity, please remove yourself from this relationship. Pray for strength, wisdom, and courage. Then, get busy creating a better world for yourself. Deuteronomy 31:8 And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. THERE IS A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL. GOD IS SHINING HIS LIGHT TO SHOW THE WAY TO HIM. PLEASE TAKE THE STEP TODAY AND FOLLOW GOD’S WORDS. PLEASE HELP YOURSELF TODAY. |
